Terms of Service

Last updated: October 26, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Miles to Minutes ("we", "us"). By buying, making or opening a gift, or by using this site, you accept them. Please read them; they are written to be short and plain.

1. Who we are

Miles to Minutes is a small business run by its two owners from the United States. You can reach us at [email protected].

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old to buy a gift or make one in the Gift Studio. A gift may be made for someone of any age; if it is for a minor, you, the adult who makes it, are responsible for it and for what it contains.

3. What you buy

Each order gives you one personalized digital gift: the right to make it in the Gift Studio and to have us host it so the person you give the code to can open it in a web browser. Nothing physical is shipped. The price is the one shown when you order. Payment is handled by the shop or payment provider you order through, under their own terms. The gift needs a modern browser and an internet connection.

4. Your content is yours

The photos, voice notes, words and letter you add ("your content") belong to you or to whoever owns them. We don't claim any ownership of them.

You give us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, copy, resize, compress, convert and back up your content, and to show it to anyone who opens the gift with its code, only to provide the gift to you and them. The license ends when the gift is deleted. We don't use your content for advertising and we don't sell it.

5. Your promises about your content

You are solely responsible for your content. By adding it you promise that:

  • you own it or have the right to use it in a gift, including any music, art or photos made by others;
  • every person who appears or is heard in it agrees to be in it (and, for a minor, their parent or guardian agrees);
  • it doesn't break the law or anyone's rights (copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity) and follows the rules in section 6.

You agree to defend and compensate us (indemnify us) against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs that come from your content or from your breaking these terms.

6. What isn't allowed

Don't use Miles to Minutes for anything illegal. A gift can't contain:

  • photos, voice notes, music or text you don't own or have no permission to use;
  • any sexual content involving a minor (we remove it and report it to the authorities);
  • intimate or sexual images of someone without their consent;
  • harassment, threats, hate, or content meant to frighten or humiliate someone;
  • other people's private information (addresses, documents, passwords) without their consent;
  • malware, or anything meant to deceive or defraud.

Don't try to break into gifts that aren't yours, guess codes, overload the site or copy its code or design.

7. Reports and removals

We don't review gifts before they are sent. When we receive a valid report or learn that a gift breaks these terms, we may remove content, close the gift and refuse service to whoever made it. We end the service for people who repeatedly infringe others' rights.

Copyright: if you believe a gift uses your copyrighted work without permission, email [email protected] with the subject "Copyright notice" and include:

  • your physical or electronic signature (your full name typed is enough);
  • the work you believe is infringed;
  • where it is (the gift's code or link, if you have it, and what the content is);
  • your name, postal address, phone and email;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law;
  • a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.

We remove or disable the content quickly and tell the person who added it. If they believe it was removed by mistake, they can send a counter-notice to the same address with: their signature; what was removed and where it was; a statement under penalty of perjury that it was removed by mistake or misidentification; their name, address and phone; and their consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for their address (or, outside the U.S., any judicial district where we may be found) and to accept service from the person who made the original notice. We may then restore the content as the law allows.

Intimate images shared without consent: if a gift contains an intimate image of you (or of someone you are authorized to act for) shared without consent, email [email protected] with the subject "Intimate image removal". Include your name and signature (typed is enough), how to identify the image (the gift's code or link if you have it, or a description), a statement that you believe in good faith it was shared without consent, and how to contact you. We remove it, and identical copies we can find, within 48 hours of a valid request.

Anything else: email [email protected] with the subject "Report" and what you found. We read every report.

Please report only in good faith: knowingly false copyright notices or counter-notices can make the sender liable for damages.

8. Codes, sharing and what the buyer sees

Anyone with a gift's code can open it. Keep the code safe and share it only with the person it is for; you can add an optional secret question. We are not responsible for access by people you or the recipient share the code with. The recipient's activity in the gift (lights, game scores, reactions and notes they send back) is shown to the buyer in the Gift Studio, and the gift tells the recipient so.

9. A finished gift stays as it is, and can be deleted

After you press "Create the gift", its contents can't be edited (only the optional secret question can change).

You can delete a gift at any time from your Gift Studio ("Delete this gift"), or ask us to by email. Deleting it means losing that gift for good, even though you paid for it: its photos, voice notes, words, letter and activity are erased, and it can't be restored or made again. Deleting a gift is not a refund (see the Refund Policy). If someone tries to open a deleted gift with its code, they see that it's no longer available and that they can ask the person who sent it. We email the buyer a confirmation, and we keep the order record and a short record of the deletion (see the Privacy Policy).

10. Our work

The site, the games, the code, the words, the art, the name "Miles to Minutes"™ and the look of the shop belong to us. You may share pictures of your own gift. Don't copy, resell or imitate our site, games or design. The example photos and painted scenes on this site are AI-generated.

11. Availability and changes

We work to keep gifts available, but the service may be interrupted, and we may change or improve features. If we ever stop running Miles to Minutes, we will tell buyers by email ahead of time when we can, so you can keep your own copies of your memories.

12. Disclaimers and limits

To the fullest extent the law allows, the gift and the site are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim about a gift is limited to the amount you paid for that gift's order. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

13. Refunds

Refunds follow our Refund Policy.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the U.S. state where Miles to Minutes is run, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If something goes wrong, please write to us first at [email protected] so we can try to fix it; either of us may also bring an individual claim in small claims court where allowed.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The new version is posted here with a new date; important changes will be pointed out on the site. If you keep using Miles to Minutes after a change, the new terms apply.
